Our stories

These are the personal stories of our contributors. We encourage everyone who contributes content to write something about themselves, for three reasons:

  1. Because everything on this site is written by users based on their personal experience, it’s important to explain what your personal experience is so that others can understand why you’re saying what you’re saying.
  2. To increase understanding and reduce stigma by enabling people who don’t understand the causes and effects of mental health conditions to read real life stories.
  3. This is your chance to be heard. It’s all anonymous, so you can use it just to feel good about having got it out, or you can show it to a friend or family member to help them understand you.
